1label….hotel coffee packet i just adore! Would be better with the lemon yellow but hindsight is insight for next time💃

Robin, thanks for the new list. Someone was very clever thinking of the name on the label. You did a great job on it. Is that one of the coffee pouches that are like a teabag?

Hope to be back soon with some sketches.

Robin, thanks for the cool list. I love your coffee packet. Clever name and clever drawing by you! Your view in and out the sliding door is fantastic. Love your eclectic "stuff". I feel very much at home. I will try to sketch this time!!

Hi to all y'all.

Robin — Thanks for the fun new list! 🌼 I love the list, and your sketches to start us off are breezy, and cheerful, and full of life’s enjoyment!!! 😂

I didn’t get to sketch today, but hope to do at least one during the week! 😌

Robin, what a great sketch looking out the sliding glass doors. So many little items to study and enjoy! It is a treat for the eyes!! Switching materials for the background gave this a nice depth.

Hi Pinecone, JoC, Ai, and Joan - thanks for your comments....I hope we all get to catch a sketch or two today!!

1 - house - watercolors and ink
IMG_9720.jpeg

2 - underneath (hanging baskets under the canopy) - watercolors and ink
3 - behind (sign behind the welcome sign)
4 - parallel lines (on barn boards)

Joan -- those are great. Colors with the flowers are really nice. Can I ask you paper size for the house, and about how long it took?
Just curious.

Robin -- I like the dragon red ink. And the way you switched to CP for outside the sliding glass doors.

Quick one from the beach today. I didn't have much time but would have liked to sketch the little white dots on the starfish...

#1 animal -- ink, ink wash, WC from little "dots" on palette paper.

1 - “between ” — space between rocks

— non-virtual sketch
— sketched in my mobile studio
— freehand

NOTE: For additional details, see attachment below.

This is just a corner of a rock wall on a house. I tried to make the lines darker than usual so I wouldn’t have to go over them again 😅 but I don’t have a stable sketching surface in my mobile studio, and am in awe of several of you, like Joan, who do wonders in your mobile studios 😃

Joan — These are both wonderful - love the elegant tranquility of the home, and love the vibrant life of the flowers against the happy wall of the barn….. everything about it makes me smile, including the giant flowers with stripes….. and the cheerful green and gold awning….. and the welcome sign makes me happy too 😂

Ned — Amazing sketch of a starfish 😃 and beautiful use of your palette of dots. Such a great idea for sketching anywhere you go 👍

Robin - thank you for the list. That is a cleverly named coffee and well drawn. The view of, and out, the doors is a great combination of media.

Joan- The house is well done and one again a dozen shades of green. The flowers are very pretty.

Ai & Jo - 👋🏽👋🏽👋🏽

Ned - A palette of wc dots sounds interesting and starfish is obviously a nice result.

Pine Cone - Your lines look pretty dark to these eyes. Think you make good use of your sketchbook and your studio.

Keep sketching and learning
Fletch

Pine Cone, hi ya....Lovely line work on the rock wall. You took time and energy on that. Yay!

Joan, hi there. Love the gray house. I always think they look so neat and tidy. Great work on all the textures. The flower scene is super. Love the hanging baskets and the flowers on the wall. Applause.

Ned, great sketch and clever find for animal. Whoot! Well done.

Hi there Fletch!!

I sketched at PT today. Number 1 full - a cup full of silk and plastic flowers In the new smaller Ohuhu sketchbook with an Ohuhu pen .7 and watercolor added at home. I thought the flowers were real until I picked it up to change the angle. Ha, very light weight.

Ned, thanks. The house is about 5x7 and took around an hour. I love the starfish sketch. I haven't found one at the beach in a long time...maybe because after my hip surgery I stopped walking in the sand so much.

Pine Cone, thanks for your comments. That particular nursery always has fun arrangements outside against the building. I usually sit in my mobile studio to sketch there because of the constant movement of cars pulling in and out. Also, I usually have a backing board underneath what I am working on. It gives me some stability and a place to rest my paints on the side. I'm always dropping things down in the space between the gear box and the seat so I try to cover that space too.lol The all park perpendicular to the building and there is no safe spot to sit. You did that rock wall really well with the size of the rocks and the mortar between them.

Fletch, thanks. Glad you had time to drop in. Hope you have time to sketch too. Hi to Sharon.

Jo, thanks so much. I like the cup of flowers and the tag on them. Cute!

7. touching -- a small dark vase touches the left of the red uncle sculpture
8. has parallel lines -- deck wooden planks
9. moves -- a boat
10. orange -- a terracotta jar
