Ned, never hear of Zopf. Your bread looks scrumptious. I did make Challah a couple of times when we lived in Bolivia. It looks so pretty. It tasted good as well. I hadn't heard of Abacus as a company and today saw an ad for Abacus Plumbing in Austin twice. Made me smile. I like your building and lines. Lots of work. The barometer is so interesting and well drawn. Applause.
Ai, yes your iron is striking. Clever on the Rubic's cube and fun line hand. Your outdoor scene at the cafe looks great. You have so many interesting eating spots.
Joan, the parking space has great cold feeling with a bit of light on the pile of snow. Mmmm. Your vehicles are always good. Super barber shop.
Robin, I love the jalepeño material. Is that a plastic bag holder? Your iron looks pretty old, need to heat it on the stove, right?? I like your climbing plant.
Gene has a long dental visit tomorrow, I will try to sketch. The dentist prepares, makes and installs a crown in a couple of hours. So nice not to have to have a temporary for a couple of weeks.

Robin -- yay, I was hoping someone would do jalapeños! The leaves on the house plant look really cool, really like that.
Jo -- Thanks. The zopf is good, best one I've made so far. The way I made it is close to challah but milk instead of water which makes the texture different. First game is a week from Friday!

and I know this looks really weird but it might look interesting when I print it. Or maybe it will be a mess or kooky or crazy, we'll see.
I put a sheet protector over the sketch and used the grey posca again:
If the ink dries before a section is filled in, the posca scratches it off instead of adding on top of it!
I used some black ink to fill where that happened.
So today I learned that I need to work kind of fast for this.

Robin, is that fabric/towel with a jalapeño design? Cool! Nice heavy-looking iron. Love the houseplant.
Ned, the zopf looks delicious. You are obviously a good baker! The original sketch of the hand looks great. Hard to tell what the print will look like. It will be interesting to see. Have fun.

My sketch group met at the library last night and our theme was fruit. I brought along an assortment of what I had at home. The sketch is a substitute for calamondin which when I looked it up it said it was a small tart orange. I hope that was correct. lol

Hi Friends - great sketching!!! Thanks for comments. The jalapenos are printed cloth use to make plastic bag holder.
JoCWOW surprised you could tell what it was!! I hope you enjoy your time sketching in the waiting room.
Joan - great fruit sketch. those cherries look so real, soft and ripe. Somehow the bending shrub in the seaside sketch make a underwater feel....interesting sensation. lovely sketch, The barber got pretty friskee with the spiral motif!!
Ai - the space man toy makes me smile...I love the serious face he's making-stealing it for a desktop....love the way you completely filled the page with bridge and dwelling in background....
Ned....still waiting for the bread sketch...What kind of print stuff are you doing? paint that stuff on the paper and then moisten a paper and press together to make print? Looks like fun!!! Can't remember what call when you paint on glass and then place paper on it for prin..yeah,....monoprint.....Is this similar process? Great job on Abacus. I like the contrast of red and grey....
