Love this--the perspective is so interesting as well as the buildings on the left. :) As always, wonderful technique.

I love those yellow-blue leading lines. This one is full of triangles and other geometric shapes, making it very appealing to me. Your colors and knife work are always to die for! Beautiful!

Thank you Ayin and Terri .. I was going to go on in the title but forgot to finish the sentence.
Do you know who's and what painting I interpreted?

Ayin .. I tried to do my style and use another's painting. Sort of like doing a copy of song. You make it your own but yet people hear the version they like: if they like your version.

Terri .. the one thing I noticed on the original artist's piece was the light was leading in and only leading in. That was an eye opener for me.
Everyday you learn something new. Too cool.

The dappled shadows across the road look so authentic to me, Wayne. Great work on this. No clue as to the original artist. Give us some clues? American? Canadian?

Ayin .. :D .. I know you do ...

thank you Donna ..

give away .. from the 3rd largest country in Europe .. born 1840 .. painted the painting in 1885 ..

Thank you Murray .. hard to hide that guy ..

much different that mine but much the same ... how can that be? both ends of the stick meet .. a line becomes a circle and goes on. He showed me how; but how I interpret how, is entirely up to me

Oh that Claude guy! Some similarities for sure, Wayne. I think of his "The Magpie" when I think of his winter paintings so it's good to get to know this one too.

To be honest in Claude's painting I find that horrible scraggly looking tree on the left to be very distracting. So I find your version to be much more pleasing to the eye.

I wouldn't call it a colorful painting but you have used at least 6 colors or shades of colors in the road alone. It is definitely a "Wayne" not a "Claude". Very well done. ❤️❤️

Eek, I really didn't focus on the title as I looked at your painting! Sorry about that.

Of course, Monet is the obvious choice, but I wouldn't have been able to point specifically to this one. The truth is that your special way with yellows and blues often reminds me of Monet. You have captured it beautifully here.

....and as an aside, The Magpie is one of my favorites. ❤ Just sayin'. ;)

I like your interpretation and the handling of the distant hill. Looks like you modernized the road with plowed looking berm and car tracks. The cast shadow of tree across the road?

You know magpie is so soft.. that is appealing

Thank you Patrick. Modernized is right. Inwoukdvbe Mone nusedv earth color only and brushes. I just went for essence and to me the essence was a sparkle road that led the viewer into the painting.
