The last five pictures are from Pixabay while the rest are from pictures I, or one of my kids, shot. The hardest part of the task of choosing pictures is knowing when to quit!!! I hope I haven’t overwhelmed you, enjoy!

I think this is beautiful Jo! I love the looseness and the shadows are excellent - just gorgeous! ❤️

Beautiful painting Jo! Thats ok trying to figure out backgrounds - Ive been trying to figure out watercolor backgrounds for the last 50 years!

CaliAnn, thank you. Appreciate you checking in.

Vivien, thanks. I am so out of practice in all painting. Watercolor is not my favorite but try...

Lamar, thank you. I'm trying to figure out loose .. lots of tension in the process. Ha.

You nailed the cosmos very well, Jo! Who says you cannot do watercolor??? This is awesome work, especially the bg. Love it!

Kay, thank you! I think it looks more like a magnolia blossom, but that isn't important. I think maybe I don't use enough paint and have my dark colors too watery. Practice will help. Thanks for all your tips and help.

Jo, that is stunning and loose. So free, spontaneous and light with the colors.

Could not resist the red tulip with its open face. So lovely. One of my faves. This is pencil sketched on 6x6 Masters Touch sketchbook 80 lb done this afternoon. I used transparent pyrrol orange, Grumbacher true red, and alizarin crimson for the reds.
