This is so serene - I just want to be there and listen to the waves coming in. Did you do an underpainting? (If you are the same CaliAnn from another art site you used to do pastels over beautiful watercolor washes.)

Thanks Donna - yes it's me from "over there" No underpainting on this one. When I want a smooth finish as in this one, I lay down a neutral color to tone the page - here I used a beige color.
