Because of the cactus theme...

This cactus I painted last summer in my handmade sketchbook (an experimental way to get rid of some wc paper of iffy quality).
It's a parodia (formerly notocactus). This one is grown from a cutting from a seedling I must have sown almost forty years ago.

A pretty little gem of a painting. The cactus is so well done! Is this the first time it's flowered?

Lovely work! Your light and shading are very well done. I love your cactus! ❤️

Thanks for all the reactions, I appreciate it very much!
This cactus has bloomed often, it has flower budds now and also a bigger one of which this one is very likely the cutting.
I harvested some seeds last year, and gave some to a friend, and she reported she has tiny seedlings now.

Love this! I'm a huge cactus/succulent fan and they never cease to amaze me. Propagation is what I'm learning now and just planted my first sanseveria (snake plant) cutting.
