Of course you will make beauty! I’ve started with the day lilies and am struggling a bit. Challenging art is like a child who struggles to follow directions—frustrating to the point of infuriating at times for both adult and child, and all the more for that needing patience. Then when you and child get to an easier place, you can really appreciate that child.Beautiful and interesting photos. Don't know if I have any skill to do them justice but will try at least one.

Thank you. Generally, I intentionally spill, hoping I’m close to what I want, then draw the details.Scamall,
I love how this came out. Do you spill the ink or do the line work first?
This is so beautiful and inspiring. Wow!Spilled ink and a variety of ink marks on Bristol smooth 18 x 24View attachment 20424

Oh, my! I love the bright and delicate energy—-so pretty—I don’t see dullness at all. I particularly like how the dark sprays of background color move the flowers forward.I played a little with acrylic ink, watercolor, white gouache, and ink. Scamall's flowers. Color is dull, there is some hot orange and lime green from the acrylic inks.
Lovely work Kay. I like how you handled the light.View attachment 20686
Not sure what these trees are called so just call them yucca trees. Too spiky to be palms I think. Size is 8.5x5.5 watercolor in Masters sketchbook done over the weekend using White Nights paints.
Scamall, the eye of your scary creature is amazing and its scales are, too! Great job!
Jo, yours is splendid and the media you used created a little gem! Way to go!
