I live very close to a lake and these are photos that I took with my phone when I went for a walk just a little before the lake froze over.

Aren’t they beautiful? And they change continuously. When it is windy and starting to freeze you see them changing, almost in motion.

This is a great photograph! Nice framing and composition. This would be a nice reference for a painting. Maybe crop it right about where that right hand fence goes off the frame.

Within seconds the colour would change. I was driving, rushed to the lighthouse and got out of my car as fast as I could. The wind combined with the cold was unreal. Except for that guy wouldn’t get out of the picture.

Yeah, light changes fast when you don't want it to. I think the guy adds to the composition.
