    Juggling.

Really like the looseness of this, the expressionism, and the gestures. You can still see the scene of course, but I like the abstractness of it. I like that it's both. Well done! :)

I'd say a master. You maybe are too humble about it.

I watched a few interviews with her today and some showed snippets of her studio. It wasn't as bad as you'd think. I think she was trained as a traditional landscape artist and maybe even once did plein air stuff, from what it looks like to me (a guess), and she is part of the Hudson School, so...

    What are you working on?

I like the abstractness of it. I think you should leave it be. (My opinion.)

What do you strive/try for in your art?

Olive, your connection ideas make me think of paintings of switchboards... Or is that too obvious and literal?

I love this. The texture is amazing, as usual.

    What are you working on?

I have achieved the crackling by painting acrylic over oil, which you're not supposed to do. Once it crackles, you can spray seal it so the paint doesn't actually fall off. I did it on a hard surface of course, like birch wood.

Oh...I feel bad that my comment may have made you change your painting. I liked it.

Thanks you guys! That is super sweet of you to say. I just finished all the light bulbs today. My feet and legs are killing because I stupidly stood the whole time. Maybe tomorrow I'll add some background and foreground stuff.

I'm glad you like Sanditz, SLG. I think she is brilliant. There are so many qualities that she has that I wish I could achieve in my own work. I am inspired by almost every painting of hers I see. Maybe if I keep looking, something will click in me to loosen up like that and I can stop feeling...

    What are you working on?

Olive, I woke up at 3:00 am because I couldn't stop thinking about the current painting I'm working on. Even when I'm not painting, I'm thinking about a drawing, or the next work and sometimes I lose sleep over it. Waiting for supplies is the worst, especially when you're on a roll. I think...

What do you strive/try for in your art?

Bongo and Olive, I hear you guys loud and clear! Thank you for sharing those things. Those are important feelings and intentions in art (I think!). I think I'm most vulnerable in my art and I can't help but express that in the process. I try not to open my mouth too much after I set sail to the...

I need to make it somewhere only a whacko person would want to live. All the windows need stripes and stuff, pinwheels on the roof, a strange mountain range and some Dr. Suess plants on the hill. I'm still on the red Christmas light bulbs.
