That is such a quiet-looking spot to paint and your paintings show what a beautiful day you had!

Wow! Such brilliant and glowing colors!

    From the sketchbook

Thanks so much for sharing these, Zoran, it’s interesting to see how your backgrounds developed as you went along. I like that you laid different colored strokes next to each other and left them. They are all beautiful but I love the fennel with its one defiant stroke of blue paint!

Last two aluminum foil image transfer experiments

These are just so beautiful, Terri! The bumps and wrinkles and torn edges enhance the natural feel and I think they would lose something special if they were perfectly smooth. These are such a great way for you to feature your photos!

    My Twisted Dog Heart

Well that was a very successful experiment! The wood burned lines were a good solution to preserving the design and the finished piece is a delight. Maybe this is the beginning of a “whatever comes to mind” series?

    Morning on the Verandah

The curving lines in your painting are beautiful and the colors you chose work so well together! You have a nice view while you pedal.

Sno, I would have gone crazy doing a plaid shirt once and can't imagine how you did it so many times. Thanks for your thoughts about these - no plaid anywhere!

Bill Cone - Wow! I’ve admired his work for years. Is he still using Canson mi- teintes paper? Thanks very much for sharing your notes, Bart!

Thank you, Ayin! These fall into the Nothing To Lose category 🤣 Wayne, I never mind a conversation that springs up in my threads. It’s part of being human, or namuh in your case. Terri, thank you. I am very afraid of the acrylic varnish that I have and it sits on a shelf daring me to use it...

I figured there was more to this story. Good call on removing a couple of balloons - there are still plenty to add interest.

Terri, that’s so kind of you to say after the incredible work you’ve been doing! Forgive me if you’ve mentioned it before but do you seal or varnish your mixed media work?

    Carmel & Big Sur

They are all very good but that last one … Wow! There’s just something about the rocks and the negative shape of the water that grabs my attention. When you’re ready to share any tidbits that you learned I’m all ears. 🙂

    Once Was A Dolphin

I like this and think you made interesting and appealing arrangements of shapes and colors, which is about all I know about collages. What do you use to attach the pieces in your sketchbook?

Thanks Jo! They are very “out there” for me. Wayne, I hope you get your energy back. I can relate to medications that wear you down. Hang in there. 🙂

    Purple Flower

Your delicate ink lines and washes of color are a gorgeous combination.
