This was my first attempt at water color pencils and was done with a cheap 36 color set on dollar store 9x12 water color paper. Over all I'm not so happy with it but it came out better then I expected. And I liked them more then the normal colored pencils. As always all opinions and criticism...

Besides color how close are? Could I replace used up Mungyo sticks with neopastels without issue? Also Bongo that's a really good deal on canvases. someone probably screwed up placing the sign.

Sadly I haven't yet. But thanks for the info. So far my concern with the Mungyos is that they only seem to come in sets.

I took a friend to a nearby city that I don't usually go to and checked out a small art store there. Picked up a set of pencils so I'd have a set all by the same brand. A small 1/4" rake brush. And 2 Sakura oil pastels. I'm still thinking of getting a larger set of either these or Mungyos so...

My local Michael's seems to be going up in price while the quality of their stuff drops. They're also the only art store in the area.

The only art goals I have are to make more of it.

I have a Michaels about 20 miles away but the prices are high and their selection isn't the best and seems to keep getting worse. Honestly half of their stuff seems comparable in quality to the walmart/dollar store stuff and the better things are twice or more what I can order online for...

I don't have a good art supply store close by, I can order online but then i need a large order to cut down the shipping cost. I like walmarts brush packs the best.

Just because I haven't had anything to post in awhile. Here's a small sketch of a crab apple I did with the travel sketch set I have in my car. I'm not used to working with only 3 pencils. Opinions, advice and criticism are all welcome. I was going to make another sketch in the space below...

Well I still seem to be buying more then what I'm producing. I picked up this cheap watercolor sketchbook from the dollar store. its around 5"x8" hand has I think close to 40 pages.
